CNN has gone it alone before. Now Reuters is independently confirming the story. It's pretty late on Friday night -- over the weekend and Monday we'll hear from more news agencies. Or not.

Probably because it takes some time for their own reporters to do some investigating and write up their reports.

News articles don't just get written with a snap of a finger and presto - it's all researched, fact checked, edited, and done.

I’m thinking he must know some things, testfied about them, and decided to quit rather than become the next public spectacle firing.
