I find it interesting that they haven't really dealt with how Jack's death affected Rebecca so much, which I think will be an interesting story line. Especially as it relates to how she ended up married to Miguel. One reason why the suicide angle could work. It would give them a lot more material than just a car accident or burned in a fire.

No, they can't! I told DH about the suicide theory, I don't want it to be true but he's now convinced there's no other way for Jack to have died.

Oh dear, please no, then it gets stale. I think we will find out toward the end of this season but not AT the end hopefully.

PP here. I don't think they did this in the first season, but they've been employing this "tactic" (?) so far in the second season. It's SO annoying! Like we're too dumb to figure it out on our own.

This season is definitely off to a slow start for me. This past episode had its moments but in general I sat there thinking "so when does something happen?" I get that in a first season there's so much more background to reveal but this season is crawling for me. And I'm entirely over Kate and, by extension, Toby.

I had the same thought when he gave Kevin his necklace at the end of the episode. It looked like Jack was saying goodbye to him. I forgot about those other points you made... I think this is the correct answer.


+1 I like this theory, too. We also know that Jack was having a really hard time battling his addiction the second time around, which has thrown him for a loop.

Np. Kate internalizes everything and is super sensitive. She'd likely find a way to believe it was her fault regardless of the circumstances.

A thousand times yes! I can't remember what it was but there was another very blatant example of this in the last episode, it really made me pause and think, 'wow what terrible writing'.
