Women do it too. How is "male entitlement" a useful term here? It's cheating, adultery.

I'm a straight white female and this whole last year or two has made me sort of low-level pissed off at straight white dudes who act in an entitled fashion.
If I ever had time to date (I'm a single mom of a young kid and we are very active), it would probably affect my love life. It probably does affect my love life in that I'm less inclined to make the effort to date because I'm low-level annoyed at straight white guys. (my usual type.)
If I was on the market, I might be more attracted to men of color myself. It's hard to find a white man who actually understands what it's like to live in this system and not be at the top. I've only met a handful in my life. Good catches, those ones.
If you really think men of color do not feel entitled to a woman's body and her decisionmaking abilities, I've got a bridge to sell you.
Yeah, I'm a "person of color" who finds attitudes like the two PPs who ponder running off to non-white men pretty off-putting and dehumanizing, to be frank.
Non-white dudes can be sexist too. They're men just like white men are. Take people on an individual level to see that they match what you're looking for.
I know. It's like oh I am going to punish the white men by running off with a man of color! Its wrong on so many levels. It really show how narcissistic feminists are. New flash...no one cares who you date( the expection being the poor man who gets stuck with you).
Anonymous wrote:FOr a good example of the entitlement to which OP refers, check out the current thread by the guy who is soon to be married but in love with another woman. The entitlement of the OP of that thread - his intent to continue with the marriage and not tell his soon to be wife of hos feelings for another woman - is stunning. Equally as stunning is the advice from numerous posters along the lines of "a bird in the hand is worth 2 in the bush." Apparently, there are numerous people who think the OP of that thread is perfectly entitled to lie and manipulate this poor woman into marriage with him.
I recognize not all men are like this, but the entitlement that OP mentions is so deeply entrenched and widespread in society, that it does put a damper on the desire to form partnerships of all but the most limited kinds.

I would say you got unlucky but this is just pretty much the norm.

Men nowadays are just so.... horrible.
Why do your friends pursue such shitty potential mates?
Why are the potential mates a.k.a. males and so shitty?

Sorry you had a bad father, boyfriends, etc., but I don't want to place myself in a position where I am going to be paying for their sins.
In fairness, there's a whole analogous trend of "men going it alone," which is an actual movement. I'm wondering if this was always a thing, or if the Internet has exacerbate it. Maybe we'll get to a point where only Super Alpha Bros and Super Models actually reproduce and everyone else just gets hooked up to virtual reality simulators and checks out.
IT says a lot that you would use those two as the ultimate form of male and female in the world. I am so happy I decided to stay single instead of run into someone like you.
If you weren't impaired, you clearly understand that those terms are used sardonically. But I'm glad you decided to stay single too!
