They just move at their own rhythm and in their own way. The work / tasks always get done but it's a place that handles face to face, in person interaction better than electronic communication. In general they are amazing with the kids, and care a lot less about keeping the parents informed.

Re Walter Reed - they aren't moving everything there. For the next few years they will operate in 3 different buildings (Walter Reed, Missouri Avenue and Perry Street).

I believe that Pk3-K will only be at Missouri Ave and Perry Street. You can find out for sure online -- look on the DCPCSB website for their enrollment ceiling increase request. It's spelled out there

And if I recall correctly, the numbering is a little different than other schools - the numbers INCLUDE the admitted students. So the "first" waitlisted person would be number 28 or whatever. Just to manage expectations when people say the list went into the mid-50s.

Last year they sent out emails a few days after the lottery. I suspect that you'll receive an email if you're admitted within then next few days.

That's truly so LAMB. And if this is making you nuts, think long and hard about enrolling your child.

No one's going to give up a slot until after the Common Lottery is done.

Last year there was quite a bit of movement, but that was because they unexpectedly expanded and added new preschool seats.

Not much movement until after enrollment for the common lottery.

They went into the mid-40s by the time school had started. But remember that they opened up two additional classes at that point.

Last 2 years PK3 got into at least 50s. I think higher last year. Good luck!!

Mid 40s.

Can anyone clarify which one it is for PK3? We are in the high 50s, so I am trying to get a better sense of whether DD has a good shot.

Two years ago we were mid 50s and got in. And that was with two fewer classes.

Another mom had called and was told that the individual doing admissions is out of the office. We may not hear from them until Friday.

Just call them.

They're not giving information over the phone.
