I think it was supposed to be a brand new suit. Perry opened the garment bag and there was a suit in there with tags on.

Lots of questions about what the costume director was thinking when he outfitted Celeste/NK. Maybe that was her power suit from 7 years ago before she got pregnant with the twins and had to quit work. I think Nicole Kidman can be so much more beautiful than how they've done Celeste. I get the understated elegance, but even still, I think they've shot a little too low for Celeste and NK is totally capable of bringing more. Wardrobe aside, I've never enjoyed Nicole more.

Interesting observation. I thought her darker side came out in last night's episode. Her interaction with Madeline's husband was some thinly-veiled nasty. It seems she set up the meeting to discuss parenting not because she's concerned for Abigail but because she wants to further drive a wedge between Madeline and her daughter.

Not that she cares about Abigail in the slightest. I think she just wants to dig at Madeline as much as possible.

I have really enjoyed this series and I thought last nights episode particularly good as it dropped so many crumbs about who may have been killed and why. I have not read the book so have really enjoyed the suspense. The Monterey setting and homes are to die for and I really like the cast. NK can sure rock a suit - I think she gets better every week.

I finally got DH to watch the show last night...and first thing he says is 'maybe we should move there'. We both love that climate and scenery.

It's put California on my list. We do a lot of international travel and DH has done a fair amount of California business travel but never when it was convenient for me to go. This scenery and climate (open doors from house to balconies and decks?!) really has me intrigued.


We do La Jolla every summer to escape the heat, humidity and bugs on most of the Eastern seaboard---but this show has me wanted to explore farther North.

You can have open doors because you don't have the bug problem like you do around here.

I was in & out recovering from the flu, Reese admitted an affair with community theatre guy, right?

I can only imagine the DCUM thread if a teacher went out to lunch with a parent to tell her that a girl's eyes told of her son bullying the girl.
