Post 03/24/2019 02:27     Subject: Why are women in their 30s considered old and men are not?

Women will always look their best in their 20's. They are not old in their 30's but because of declining fertility women have been viewed as becoming old in their 30's. That's not to say that women in their 40's and older can't be attractive but they don't have the same supple skin as when they were 20.

The day women realise they have more to offer than their looks is when they will find happiness. Chasing youth with surgery and botox screams of insecurity to me.

I find that a lot of the young women on the millennial generation are quite plain in comparison with 20 somethings from previous generations.

I noticed that too! Take a look at the supermodels from the 90s and their "model" daughters or just the models today. Many look worse than the girls you would find shopping at walmart. Their moms were beautiful though but this wave of new models is just bleh compared to the other beauties of 2 decades ago. In the 90s i really looked up to cindy nicki etc for their beauty and style. The models today get plastic surgery to model.

I don’t know, I’m a guy and the current generation of young women is not very appealing. Lots of tattoos, messy hair weirdly piled on top of their heads, many overweight, obsessed with some vapid social media image. No thanks. Give me a fit 40-something any day.

Eh, that goes both ways. A man in his 20s with money and a six pack is hotter than a man in his 50s with money and a six pack.

I disagree. A man in his 20s with money and a six pack probably came by it easily and has a lot of time to let it go to his head and lose it all.

A man in his 50s with money and six pack probably worked hard for it and is more likely to keep it.

Doesn't matter. We are talking solely about physical appearance. All other things being equal- money, abs, work ethic- a man in his 20s is more attractive than a man in his 50s.

That guy in his 20s with money is a unicorn, as in one in a thousand. He will have women lining up to bang him. Best of luck!

No, because he'll be chasing attractive women in their early 20s, who are always at the top of the sexual food chain.

From their teens until around 30, women rule the world. Starting around 35, men have the upper-hand. That's when a lot of awkward/nerdy, "late bloomer," guys finally start to settle down, and when women begin to complain about being "invisible."

It's a shame because many women don't realize what they had until it's gone, while men don't hit their prime until they are old enough to be able to appreciate it a bit.

Anonymous wrote:I have two friends in the pet industry. They work with pet stores, groomers, and go to dog and cat shows. Their ideal (and most common) customer is a single, never-married woman 30's and older. They have advanced in their career so they have money to spend, and they spend a lot of it on their pets.

I know every time I've tagged along with him to a groomer's salon, every client in there (the owner, not the dog) was female.

So the whole "cat lady" thing does seem accurate, based on the industry information and what I've observed.

I worked in the pet industry (pet stores, walked dogs, vet clinic, trainer) and didn’t experience this. My clientele was always diverse and there wasn’t much of a difference in how much people spent.

I question the groomer comment, because generally owners aren’t there for grooming. Most places give you a timeframe rather than an appointment, so you drop your dog off and pick him up hours later. You don’t hang out waiting for them to finish. But maybe women are just more likely to have breeds with grooming needs, and men prefer dogs with short fur. And nobody takes cats to the groomer.
