You people are insane. Absolutely bat-shit crazy.
Someone smoking outside is making the INSIDE of your house stink?
You people are nuts.

No. It makes me sick. I'm not rich and I don't try to convince people that I am, so for me it has nothing to do with that. I get headaches and the smell of smoke makes me nauseous. I probably do come across as irrational about smoking, but if it made you start to feel sick the minute you smelled it you'd probably get upset too. I literally start feeling anxiety when I have to breathe cigarette smoke. My son gets sick from it too. We have several smokers in my family and I can't stand visiting them because they stink. I love them because they are my family, but they stink and I avoid visiting them for very long because their homes stink and I need a shower and I have to wash laundry after coming home.
I had everyone to my house for Christmas and the smokers left cups with water and cigarette butts all over my patio. I had no idea. What a gross surprise I discovered while cleaning up after their visit. I'm glad they didn't litter, but they could have gotten rid of the cup of butts. Another reason why I think smokers are selfish and inconsiderate. Leaving that nasty mess for me to clean up after I hosted such a nice party for everyone. And the poor children of the smokers. Every time I hug my nieces & nephews I inhale the stench of stale cigarettes on their clothes and hair. Makes me sad that they don't get to wear clean smelling clothes ever.

If I complained, I was viewed as a whiner. Eventually, cigarette smoke was banned in public buildings, but lots of people still smoked. Eventually, I started to have a hard time breathing, and would routinely lose my voice around cigarette smoke. Again, this was viewed as my problem. Cigarette smoke is more than a nuisance for a lot of us. In my experience, smokers are some of the most selfish people that I've ever met. Thank God most people don't smoke anymore (at least around here).
I don't understand this sentiment. I don't smoke, never have but I don't villainize people who do. Its their vice. They don't have to take you into consideration to partake in it. If they are in a public space where smoking is allowed and you don't like it ... walk away.
+1
Unless someone is smoking on your property or in an area where it is prohibited, you need to suck it up & go somewhere else if it bothers you that much.
FWIW, all of the smokers I know go out of their way not to smoke near children & will go somewhere else to smoke if someone asks them to or even appears bothered by the smoke.
When smoking in public, most even try their best find a designated smoking area or, failing that, someplace where the smoke is less likely to breathed in by other people. Maybe the first PP's attitude is what leads people not to GAF whether or not theI r smoke bothers her.

And the guy has really loud dogs that bark outside. Once I asked him if for one day he could walk the poor dogs instead of leaving them in the yard to bark. He said, "They bark on my property". Typical conservative white trash asshole. Thinks because something occurs on his property that it's OK to bother neighbors. What a dumbass. Sound and smoke travel fuck face! One day I'm going to take my liberal shotgun and blow that cigarette right off his lips. How's that for a snowflake.
So one liberal asshole and one conservative asshole talking to each other, what happens? We get smoking gun.
Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Smokers with health issues resulting from smoking should not be entitled to healthcare
It's impossible to directly determine the cause of health issues. While smoking increases the likelihood of a lot of health issues, people who don't smoke also experience those issues. It's impossible to connect it.
Furthermore, if we're going to go down that road than obese people (who aren't obese or fat due to a thyroid issue) should be denied healthcare for any obesity-related health issue.
People who drink alcohol should be denied healthcare for any thing that can be remotely attributed to alcohol consumption.
We could go on and on. There are all kinds of things that are bad for your health. We don't want to go down that road.
