So many excuses here! Do you really think it is without "trying?" I mean, are you just not observant?

So, she is to blame?

We are close to the same height I would say that she might weigh a little bit more than me or a little less than me depending on the day I think she wears a slightly larger clothing size

The older generation grew up in a total diet culture and the younger generation has in contrast, been exposed to a very different “radical self acceptance” type culture.

Nope. I am almost half her weight.

Yes, but my mother is anorexic and possibly still bulimic. I’m a normal weight.

I am heavier (but not an unhealthy weight). But my mom is also an inch shorter, doesn’t work (so not at a desk all day), eats like a bird, and walks 7 miles a day. I’m confident that My body would look like hers if I did all that too.

Way thinner- about 100lbs thinner. I'm petite (small boned) too whereas my mom is just short. She's 5'4 and I'm 5'0. Weight is something I've struggled with my whole life. I didn't know anything about good diets, how to work out or healthy exercise until I was in high school. Once I started going to the gym and cleaned up my diet, I lost 30lbs and have never regained it.

My mom is impossibly tiny. She's 4'8", and under 90 lbs. I'm short at 5'1", but a whole 5" taller than her, and of course, heavier.

I thinner. When she was alive, she used to obsess over my weight—in the wrong way, as if gleeful if I gained a pound or two.

My mother is about 61" tall, 99# most of her life.
I'm 6.5" taller, and 117# most of my life.
We're just about similar proportionately. When she retired she gave me all her work clothes.

Yes. I’m also 6” taller. She’s 5’ tall on a good day.
