I'm pretty sure that boarding school will not suffice to establish residency.
Once you factor in travel, tuition, room & board for international students at Oxbridge appears to be just as expensive as top privates in the US. Unless I am missing something.

Uk/eu mom, I'm the American with triple citizen kids and I want you to know, I agree with you. My husband always wanted to come to this country, was thrilled when he got citizenship... but now even he says our retirement plan should be over there.
Which is also my father's retirement plan, funnily enough. He has UK citizenship from an ex-wife, and is happily mooching off the nhs for most of his health care needs. (Based on his experience, and the experience of my in-laws, I'd have to weigh in favor of the nhs. And you can also buy private insurance there? I think? )
So... what about boarding school to establish residency? Would that work? We are still a few years out, but last time I checked even UK boarding schools were cheaper than us privates.
