Racism? Jealousy? I'm not sure.
I agree. These comments reek of racism. White women are phobic of any facial features that are different from the American Caucasian norm. Small round noses, fuller cheeks, large round blue eyes. Any ethnic deviances such as a more prominent nose and higher cheekbones scare them.
Beauty crosses cultures and races.
Amal and Huma are objectively attractive middle eastern women. They’re just not white!
Oh, get off it. I’m Middle Eastern and I don’t think either Amal or Huma are pretty. Amal is better than Huma, but only because her eyes are less beady. There are plenty of beautiful Middle Eastern women (like Nadine Labaki, Nataly Aukar, Carmen Bsaibes) and hello Shakira! to namr just a few, but Amal and Huma are not two of them. These two are just well connected political types. They’ve got power, but you’re not gonna force me to call them pretty.

A head turner, but not pretty and beautiful like Aishwarya Rai, or sexy like Priyanka Chopra. I am comparing her to Indian women because she is Middle Eastern and her beauty is different than the traditional White beauty.
She looks very confident. She looks like a model and carries herself like a model. I expect her to start modelling for some very high end luxury brands.
They look happy. GC did marry up. She has the money, the looks, the qualification.
So I have never heard of either of the two Indian women you mentioned and I google-imaged them. I would never have guessed they were Indian-their skin is basically white. I've never met any Indians-from-India with such pale skin. What's up with that?
I've met paler Indians before. Sheesh you people need to get out more.
Not pp, but I live in Ashburn and there are a lot of Indians here. Never met one that pale.
Oh well gee I stand corrected, Ashburn obviously has all the Indians I'd ever need to see. For what it's worth I live in PG county and my Indian neighbor is as light as those ladies. I thought he was a white or maybe Hispanic guy before I heard his voice.
There are a metric shit-ton of Indians in Ashburn, to be fair to pp.
What caste? I get the vibe that the hoards of IT grunt workers who all live in Ashburn don't come from a high caste.

People don’t like Amal the same reason they don’t like SJP (long midface). There’s this trend that favors shorter faces (which I personally don’t get, but it’s what it is).
As far as I know Chopra is adored by all.
Yes, people are weird about the long nose and planes on the sides of the face (which in Amal's case are under stunning cheekbones). I think it has to do with beauty standards currently that favor women who look like children (gross) and people perceive these features as "masculine" even though this is actually classical features in art that would be favored in women and men.
I think Amal is beautiful and SJP is striking (the rest of her features are not as beautiful and expressive as Amal's). But many people prefer a rounder, more childlike face on even a middle aged woman (think Salma Hayek, or Reese Witherspoon). It's interesting to me.

But, I hate when everyone looks exactly the same which is the goal of plastic surgery/hair dyes/fillers/bright white chiclet veneers, etc. these days.
She has a great sense of fashion and wears clothes well. But, even better, she is a very intelligent, successful woman that carries herself with grace and confidence.
