My DD got all scores 159, 160, 157. She is a bright girl but not a genius/whiz kid. I don't know much about the test and we did no prep. She mentioned puzzles.

Also, does anyone in the HGCs have an IEP, 504 plan or diagnosis? I haven't heard anything about twice exceptional students at the HGC. Do they accommodate once accepted?

Also, your child will be placed in 5/6 grade math. You probably want to contact the school for an option to that which might not be offered.

They do not differentiate learning. They are required by law to provide accommodations under an IEP or 504.

LOL, I doubt it. My DC scored close to 160 on two of the sections. I don't think DC's IQ is that high. DC is very bright, but not genius level, and 160 would be genius level.
Your child is really smart. If you don't mind, could I ask his exact scores?

No.
I had my child's IQ tested for other reasons a year before the HGC test, and his WISC-IV scores were significantly lower than his HGC scores. The HGC test is a CoGAT test, not an IQ test. Some questions may be similar but the CoGAT is much more restricted and circumscribed than the full battery of IQ tests. The scoring is not the same, and students will typically score higher on the CoGAT than on the WISC.
