Poor people go to sit-down restaurants to pay $10-12 per person for dinner? Your idea of poor must be different from mine.

It's telling that poor=middle class for a lot of these posters.

To be fair, the thread title is about poor & middle class. Middle class can afford an occasional Applebee’s.

Only after they get their stimulus checks.

Why is this a question??! Why are people on DCUM obsessed with class??? It’s mind boggling.

Anyone clicking on a thread with this title knew it would be garbage. There is no point to this thread.

There are decent people on here and good comments, but to find them you have to wade around in the radioactive sludge and I just can't anymore.

So thank you. Thank you for being my rock bottom. Goodbye and good luck.

In US, anything packaged, so it can be made fast. In old country, anything that can sit on stove warm for several hours- soups, stews, anything mashed, porridge. Big pile is made and it has to feed hard-working boys and girls and be warm whenever they have a time to come and eat.
Old country is cold, so oven/stove are almost always on. Warm food is considered good for stomach. If seed needs to go to field with the worker, it's not a sandwich, but some kind of soup or stew in thermos.
Kids nowadays are not into this mushy stuff.

That, and what I want is a thread that announces how high income pretentious is so obvious about having been raised low income slobs.

*Not saying that is true of all members of either side.
