I don't visit the nanny forum, but this story was good!

Forget it! Why can't all the kids be in one room?
If you are 'forced' to share a room with kids, then maybe you can say, well, i'm not paying for the rental or my meals or just half the rental. Something to bargain with.

I don't have kids and I found DCUM because when you search infertility terms on Google, DCUM is often high in the search results.
I stayed because Family Relationships is so much more entertaining than Carolyn Hax.

I find it to be both educational and entertaining. Some of these stories really make me count my blessings, lol. Yep - much better than Carolyn Hax.

Maybe she was looking for a "family" perspective and thought...what the heck might as well try DCUM.

Because she may have ended up here months ago searching some other topic. Or she looked for a patenting forum because she wanted perspective from parents.

Of course not. But you don't know that until you actually get INTO the forums. Then you see the wide range of forums that have nothing to do with kids or being a parent. The name itself DC URBAN MOMS AND DADS is not something where you would expect to draw in single, childless women. It makes sense that 23:45 might pose that question. I didn't see it as a "bitchy" comment.

The Nanny forum used to be part the larger DCUM forum. Now it is its own forum. I could see how young, single women who are nannies would still come back to the
DCUM to post. They know it's here already.
