Of course, if you know to search that title.

I still don't see any TEACHERS on that list making 6 figures.

Which teachers are making 100k+?

And the problem is? We think nothing of athletes and entertainers making huge amounts of money, but begrudge teachers earning high salaries. Crazy!

All of this is ridiculous. I taught for 10 years and we never had anything like this for teacher appreciation week. I believe our secretaries were in charge and used the school money to purchase some teaching supplies (think markers etc) to be put in our boxes for everyday of the week. Also note that we had one regular parent volunteer for the whole school (seriously) and a virtually nonexistent PTA. From a teacher's stand point, it was wonderful. No pushy annoying parents with nothing better to do than hanging around the school all day coming up with all this crap.
I had no idea all this even existed until we moved.

Super. Very helpful.
I went to FFX Underground and scrolled back through 6/14 and don't see it.

I do see that a teacher, at the top of the scale with a PhD (standard 194 day contract), makes $98,920.
http://www.fcps.edu/hr/salary/pdf/fy14/FY2014%20194-day%20teacher%20.pdf

So the number of teachers making six figures can't be many.

Next year is year 21 for me. I believe I'll make $77,821.

Fairfax Underground has someone who has posted all the teachers salaries identified by name and school. (and administrators and all other staff too)

When this happens I always wonder, did the persom tkaing the money give ALL og it, or keep a little for themselves? At our school, these donations can easily top $200 per parent. I stopped with the group gifts. Not everyone participates.

Wow, I did these collections for years for my kids' teachers and coaches and bought gift cards and flowers or a plant and cards and pretty wrapping, so I'm somewhat insulted that someone might think I might have kept any of the money! If anything, I frequently paid out extra for people who said they would give me their share "later" which, of course, they never did.

I'm a teacher and I've thought about running for the board. We have teachers who are fairly active in the PTA, but I don't know of any who have ever been on the board.
