using the word "myself" (incorrectly) in place of "me"

I've also been annoyed recently by the "I know, right?" expression being used on DCUM. I keep imagining that it's the same annoying person over and over.

"I feel sorry for your children" (usually in response to something that really has no bearing on your parenting abilities.
"You need to be more proactive" (the person saying this usually has no idea what they're talking about and, when pressed for specifics, comes up blank. Perhaps they should be more proactive about identifying ways that you need to be more proactive?)

When Americans use British vocabulary.

"I'm going on holiday."

You grew up in Kentucky...you say "a vacation."

"kissing your bumper" (from the other thread).

I had never heard of this before today but it appears this is the annoying euphemism city parkers who don't know how to parallel park use when they've selfishly damaged your car bumper in order to shove their banged up car into a parking space.

I loathe when people say "reach out" - as in, "I'm going to reach out to so-and-so and ask them for a donation."

Also, people who say "utilize" instead of good old "use".

Incorrect use of "I" - "He reached out to my hubby and I and asked to utilize our beach house so he could summer in Ocean City."
