Because over half the population is now overweight, a "normal" sized person now seems downright thin and the chunky person seems normal, and the fat person seems chunky.
But just because our perceptions have changed doesn't change the health issues surrounded with carrying extra weight.
I agree. I'm the poster w/ the pics. Even when I was this weight, I can remember trying to frantically diet to lose 10-15 lbs. Didn't happen and I just went with it and enjoyed my vacation. Now that I'm 30 lbs over this weight, I look back on those pics with envy (even though I wasn't perfect at that size). When you gain weight, you tend to look back on old pictures and think "Why was I so obsessed with losing weight. I looked great!". Perhaps when I finally meet this target goal, I'll remember that I wasn't happy with it in the past and will lose more weight.
I will say that weighing 120-140 lbs is not what I like. I do love how I look in the white dress, so that's what I'm aiming for. If folks thinks that's overweight...well, color me stumped!
but you didn't need to lose 10-15lbs - you needed to lose 30+ lbs.
And yes, I agree with the PP - you do not look sexy or attractive. Its a skewed conception based on the fact that many other women who look like you are likely even heavier. I live in a predominately African American area and at the pool, you are right, you would be considered rail thin.
Question for you: Which body type do you find more attractive: Kim K and Beyonce or Giselle and Natalie Portman?
Kim and Beyonce are both very fit. Just a different body type. PP's pictures are not fit at all.

I envy her self-confidence, even if she is on the heavier side. I'm sure I have a body image issue, but I wish I could enjoy a glass of wine without thinking that one glass will make me fat.
Believe me, I'm not confident now!!! At 160 (white dress), yes. And that was not overweight, IMO. But I do think it's a matter of discussing this with women who are on the thinner side and prefer the lean look. I remember a thread not too long ago about Scarlett Jo on the beach and the women here thought she looked fat!
I am the PP who just said I was normal. I think SJ looks fabulous there. But she probably weighs no more than 120-130 there.
