What you describe is normal side effects. You can get it removed or wait it out. I'm the 4/15 8:04 poster; got mine on Wednesday morning. I've noticed the cramps are best controlled with midol.
I didn't find the placement to be all that painful. I took a deep breath and exhaled when she was doing something painful. It's almost impossible to tense up whole doing that.
