This is not the first time our boy has sued for defamation. Seems to be a pattern for him.

*2019: $44 million suit vs. The New York Times (over Ukraine-related reporting on NSC concerns). Status: inactive or settled.
*2019: $25 million suit vs. Politico (similar Ukraine/NSC reporting). Status: appears to have concluded without major victory for Patel.
*2020: $50 million suit vs. CNN (over articles linking him to Biden conspiracy theories). Status: Dismissed by trial court; affirmed on appeal by Virginia Court of Appeals (January 2025) — Patel failed to plead "actual malice" as a public figure.
*2025: $250 million suit vs. Frank Figliuzzi (former FBI agent and MSNBC analyst) over claims that Patel spent more time in nightclubs than at FBI headquarters. Pending.

First of all, it wasn’t just current employees. Former employees were also allegedly cited. Secondly, if this is the national security concern that they are claiming, people should absolutely go on the record.

They are going to be forced to if this goes to court.
