Wow, they're even getting reparations?
Omg does Trump realize he is President of the U.S. and not Iran?! He completely whiffed this! Iran just learned they have something better than nukes - the strait of Hormuz to get the world to be their B.
OMG! Hard to believe you people are believing Iranian propaganda.
On second thought, it’s not hard to believe. The leftists here have been rooting against the US since this conflict began. Actually, longer than that.
Agree. Can’t believe folks believe the Iranian media.
Iran physically controls the strait. That means if they say it is only open in coordination with the Iranian military, then it is only open in coordination with the Iranian military.
Can't believe folks need to get this spelled out, but what it means is that you need to pay a hefty fee to get your boat across. Both France and Japan paid big bucks to do just that last week, a first for wealthy democratic nations - previously only Omani and Pakistani ships had been let through (with fee, maybe smaller). Iran might perhaps consider letting American ships through, but there might be a "special enemy price" just for the US![]()

Um what?
STRAIT, you gd moron.
Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:OP,
Trump has always backed out. He backed out repeatedly on tariffs, which caused endless havoc for millions of businesses around the world. A lot of small businesses had to close. He's been even more erratic with his announcements about his intentions in Iran.
He will not destroy Iran tonight. He might bomb them more intensely than previously. He will not use nuclear weapons.
He is very obviously in dementia and has lost a lot of capacity for long term planning. He acts on impulse and only sees short term results. He cannot understand long term consequences.
We must all push for removal from office in any way possible.
Are you a physician? Better question - are you Trump’s physician?

This plan does not give us control of the strait, are you nuts
The MAGAs are so desperate for this to be anything other than a total humiliation for Trump and his idiotic war.
Iran really pissed of their neighbors by closing a straight that is not theirs to close. Iran is now hated by all the neighboring Muslim countries
Iran has *always* been hated by its neighbors. All it does is fund terrorism in other countries.

That’s not true. Israel is hated by its neighbors for funding terrorism not Iran.

- Iran gets $$$ and benefits from taking the strait
- Iran assumes they can keep their uranium and enrich it
Do NOT believe the shit other people are posting. They are pulling it off social media from Iran’s talking points. It is false.

it was FREE before "the war" and no iran will charge $2M per ship for passage, and that is likely paid in Yuan rather than dollars.

Key Points of the Proposal
Security Guarantees: A permanent end to the war and a formal guarantee that Iran will not be attacked again.
Sanctions Relief: The immediate lifting of all U.S. and international sanctions.
Regional De-escalation: An end to Israeli strikes in Lebanon and against other Iranian allies.
Strait of Hormuz Reopening: Iran agrees to reopen the vital shipping route under specific protocols.
Transit Fees: Implementation of a $2 million fee per ship transiting the Strait. Iran proposes splitting these proceeds with Oman.
Reconstruction Funding: Iran plans to use its share of the shipping fees to fund the reconstruction of infrastructure destroyed during the conflict instead of seeking direct reparations.
Nuclear Commitment: A reported commitment by Iran to not seek nuclear weapons and a request for recognition of its right to enrich uranium for peaceful purposes.
Frozen Assets: The release of all Iranian funds and assets frozen by the United States.
THIS IS FALSE.
The US has NOT agreed to this!
