Usha Vance is not washing dinner dishes. The Vice President’s Mansion comes with a chef and kitchen staff who prepare all meals and other Naval enlisted staff who run the house. She’s also not grocery shopping or doing laundry.

Bathing the kids - hopefully a parent or a personal babysitter is doing that. The VP doesn’t have a “housekeeper” because the house is kept by the Naval staff, and it would be inappropriate to ask US government of any type to attend to personal bodily caretaking of the kids.

What does social media have to do with it? Usha is a dowdy lawyer. You’re acting like she’s some influencer. Her having an Instagram doesn’t give her any more appeal than any of the Second Ladies before her.

Social media is where Stan culture thrives. Almost every minor public figure has stans now, and they can congregate and find each other on social media and ways they could not before.
