FCPS - most teams have cuts down to 25-35 boy and girl swimmers if demand exceeds those numbers. Most teams don’t cut anyone willing to be on dive team.
APS - swim & dive are no cut sports (as long as the kid is safe in the water)
+1. 3-5 lanes? at the recenter where my kid practices, it's more like 3 lanes max. There's a basic capacity issue. I'd also argue that even without pool capacity issues, a roster ceiling makes sense. Some one else can do the math, but i don't think it's worth any one's time if you're lane filling 1 event a meet.
