DP - I, too, will be going on use-or-lose leave all of the rest of this calendar year except for maybe 5-7 days. I’d already put in for it to spend some time with family that I only get to see at Christmas and over the summer. No way I’m giving that up for two reasons: (1) it’s my family and that time is precious and (2) this administration has shown that they don’t care about federal workers so no way I’m giving away my hard-earned time off.

Item 2 only lasts the period of the CR. They can still RIF whoever they want after that unless there’s a longer moratorium put in place.

All the republicans agreed to do was follow the law for a few weeks.

I don’t think democrats should accept an agreement to repay federal workers or pay SNAP. The democrats should at the very least force the republicans to say that THIS IS ALREADY THE LAW, not some new concession.
