Rice, Vanderbilt, Washu, Northwestern, Umich, Notre Dame, WashU, Uva, USC, UNC said Emory was their peer school. Not sure why Emory gets this level of vitriol but suggest a permanent T25 isnt really T25 quality would need more evidence than your feelings.
I am not a mom of any school in this list. But I do think this is the relatively objective comment here. Of course there is still space to say which one is better, but Emory is closer to them than to SMU, Tulane, etc.
Depends on major imo. For premed Emory is better than all of them, for engineering worse.
It also depends on what your kid wants socially and whether they want a mid-sized private or a large state flagship. Emory is very liberal and doesn’t have a football team or any other big-time sports team. SMU and Wake are more traditional. Michigan and UCLA are in a different category altogether.

Emory
1500- 1570
Tulane
1430-1500
SMU
1340- 1490
What are you talking about?

Games what? Tufts has a 42% ED acceptance rate. That includes both ED1 and 2.
who cares. two undesirable schools.
Undesirable with almost 40k in applications? Emory makes ABC nightly news with common announcements to financial aid. Only elite schools are capable of that.
it’s a back up to a backup. overall yield is an absurd 38% even with ed and oxford campus gaming of stats. Really pathetic
Oxford lowers the yeild not raises it. Emory could raise the yeild by lowering the stats if they really wanted to. Or going more TO like Vandy or NYU. They're doing the right thing in my opinion.
so why doesnt it go test required like most actual good schools? because it doesnt want yield to be in 20s
Duke, Columbia, Vandy, WashU, etc are also TO.
now do the rest of the top 20.
