One party consistently votes to cut spending on the social safety net, cut spending on health care, give tax breaks to rich Americans, and balloon the budget deficit.

The other party consistently votes to expand the social safety net, support unions, invest in domestic manufacturing, and wants to raise taxes on rich Americans.

It is apathy, shortsightedness, ignorance, and a lack of critical thinking skills that drives an apathetic voter to decide both parties are the same and neither represent your interests. Let's take the kid gloves off and call a spade a spade here.
