LOL!

This is nothing whatsoever fair about the democrat-drawn 13th district; don’t you agree?

Illinois could do this if they wanted to.

Turnabout is fair play; don’t you agree ?

California banned gerrymandering and draws lines with an independent commission.

You have to be able to define what gerymandering is before you can ban it. What geometric shape would a district need to have for it to be considered "gerrymandered"?

So what's the latest on this ABSOLUTE CRAP about the Texas Democrats coming out of Abbott about "we're going to arrest them" and "they are felons" and "I will strip them of their seats?"

They committed no crimes, much less felonies, and Abbott does not have the power to strip them of their seats. Abbott needs his ass handed to him over those threats.

Exactly - It's the Republicans who want to rig elections and steal our votes and representation from us, even as they try to accuse Democrats of doing it.

I’m surprised the republicans are doing this. There is a very high chance these new districts backfire on them. These maps are based on the 2024 Trump vote that had lots of Latinos switching to republican for the first time. If that goes back even a little bit, they’ve just created a bunch of new D districts.

Both ILL and CA could be a lot worse for the GOP. But the GOP has squeezed almost every seat it can in the rest of the country, whereas a lot of blue and purple states submitted to independent commissions and computer drawn districts that are relatively fair. If the Dems were to play the same game, the House wouldn't be competitive anymore, and frankly, whoever decided to cap the House at 435 seats complete screws the bigger states with big cities, since their house members represent over a million residents where the red states rural representatives represent under a million, which means in aggregate, both the House and Senate Dems represent about 56% of the population but have minority representation in both houses of the congress. That disparity also tips the Electoral College.
