I don't think having MCPS defend itself in a lawsuit from a teacher in which the BCC principal admits under oath to defaming a BCC teacher constitutes "BCC finally getting attention from MCPS this year."

Are you a BCC family? BCC is getting attention. We've had major safety issues and have been finally having MCPS step up and pay attention. It actually is unrelated to this court case that BCC is getting attention.

What, specifically, has MCPS done since the lockdown that has meaningfully improved safety and security at BCC???

Also, the County Council is 100% complicit in the dysfunction of the BOE. The E&C Committee coordinates and covers up for MCPS Staff and the BOE. They could use their hearings to bring problems to light or hold MCPS accountable, but they actively avoid that and coordinate with Taylor and his stooges to present massaged and disingenuous information to the public.

What makes you think they are immediately falling in line with the status quo? They seem pretty good so far to me, especially given they are still just getting their feet under them and I'd hardly expect them to turn the place upside down in their first 6 months or year...

I don't see why they need to issue a press release about every lawsuit. The supreme court case was different, because it was the supreme court and had national implications.

And without knowing what the verdict would be, they need to implement their follow-up actions and I imagine they will include that in whatever statement they make. At the very least, I would expect a statement to the BCC community.

You expect way too much of MCPS. Their goal and likely action will be to remain silent about the lawsuit loss publicly.
