They want to feel right about the topic and they want YOU to feel wrong for your beliefs. From what I've witnessed on this board they're generally an angry miserable bunch. I think while they don't know it or even realize it they might be driven by the devil to pull people away from God. They might be being used.
Think about this: when on these boards have you seen believers trying to covert atheists into believing in God? When have you seen them pushed, shamed and antagonized for not believing in God? Never. Why is that? Does that seem strange to you? It's one way. Ask yourself why is it one way? Food for thought.
+1M Atheists are indeed very angry and combative to try and "prove" the religious people wrong on here. Things that make you go hmmmm.
I'm an atheist and I'm not angry and miserable. Nor was I when I was a believer. Believers, especially in Christianity, assume that you should have the same beliefs as they do. Doesn't that seem strange to you?
Don't atheists assume the same thing?

There is no confounding. Whatever level of belief you have, it is all still silly regardless of what you call it - Vishnu, Osiris, Zeus, Jesus, or the Flying Spaghetti Monster.
But us weak of faith aren't the holy roller snake handlers trying to make America a Christian nation.
Right - We've got an atheist in the Oval Office who favors Christians because he knows they will love him as long as he caters to them - which he will do, just to stick it to the Libs, whether the Libs are religious or not.

+10000 well said! No one throws their religion onto these atheists or makes them feel small or terrible for not believing in God. It is truly one way.
Are you saying that you're feeling small and terrible for believing in God?? If you no longer believed in God, maybe you wouldn't feel so small and terrible.
I guess reading comprehension isn't your thing. PP said that atheists make them feel this way on this board. Re-read the post. SMH.

I live a fairly good life as I know that every moment I have to live is precious.
The anger and misery come from the mythology believers trying to impose their fictions on my life.
"impose their fictions on my life."
EXCEPT no one is doing that to you at all. Its totally all in your head.

There isn't one.

This is very dumb, and not true.

Beautiful - probably goes over the head of many here, but fully agree.
