He's right. Protesters at the parade will be met with great force since they don't belong there - that is not the purpose of this event.

Not how protest works. Protests belong EXACTLY where they are not wanted. That's what makes it protest. Imagine if sit-ins had just happened at the local park or church rather than at the literal lunch counters that refused to serve Black people.
