Subject: W&M Freshman Dorms
OP here reporting back. DD lives in one of the new West Woods dorms and it’s fantastic. She worried it would feel disconnected from the rest of the campus but it’s pretty convenient, especially with the new elevated walkway through the woods. She loves the single use shared baths cleaned by housekeeping instead of en-suite shared baths cleaned (or not cleaned) by students. There was a delayed opening in some of the new dorms but now that kids have moved in it feels more lively. She can’t wait for the new dining hall to open but thinks the Caf is just fine until then. Overall, she’s very happy in West Woods and has made great friends on her hall.

I was there a week ago, and I love the Skybridge. West Woods is such a nice complex. I peeked in the new dining hall, and it will be a much more inviting space than the Caf when it opens next year.
Us too! Our DS lives in the new dorms and they are fabulous.
