A huge relief to all involved

The new MLSNext 2 teams near us are moving up from EDP 1/2/3. The new ECRL club near us is barely EDP 5.
Sounds very unusual!

Both ECNL rl and in theory mlsn2 are more reasonable travel, with divisions based on smaller geographic areas.
But my son almost joined Both an ECNL RL and an MLSNext tier 2 team and we were told that both separate clubs that his schedule would plan to be matched to play against the regional or secondary team of ECNL or MLS next games. So pretty similar in terms of travel sadly for both.
For ECNL-RL and MLSN2 the geographic area of the divisions is much smaller than the corresponding tier 1 team. For example the Carolinas vs. Mid-Atlantic. Yes you are playing second teams of those clubs in some cases, but a subset of the whole.
