No one can control how their tax dollars are spent sadly.

Are you suggesting there will be a draft? Will it be gender neutral and include women?
Yep, even menstruating men.
I bet you're a good christian on Sundays right....total a## every other day

Let him fly his crazy flag. There will be another scandal since he has problems with drinking, sex, and self control in general. He will self immolate.
But do you know the damage he can do in the meantime ? Like promoting people who are yes men instead of professional officers (who are loyal to the Constitution).
And trust me, there are a lot of cowardly people in the DoD who will do anything to please the guy they report to,
We'll see. Hegseth is a f'up. He mismanaged two nonprofits with a dozen or fewer staff and he has a weak character. He simply will not be up to the task of managing the military. What he will be good at is stirring up cultural wars and getting air time. That's what Trump primarily chose him for. The DoD is an enormous institution with its own culture and priorities and doesn't like to be told what to do; it will find ways to resist this sec of defense the way it has resisted all the past ones.
The main job of the Secretary of Defense is to manage the massive DOD bureaucracy. He doesn’t boss the military. He doesn’t make foreign or domestic policy. He has a schedule full of meetings and phone calls and bureaucratic drudgery.

But it was funny when Warren kept on him about if generals had to wait 10 years after leaving the military, why should he not have to wait ten years. He responded: "I wasn't a general." There was a hearty laugh. Otherwise, Warren was demonstrating why women should be in combat. She gets so angry that she would be jumping over bodies, throwing grenades, and taking out machine guns.

PS. Why aren't YOU outside going for a walk?
Ah. Trump. Is he wearing a Hegseth disguise today? You're literally taking years off of your life by twisting yourself into knots over these uncontrollables. If Hegseth is confirmed what are you going to do about it? Why do you care? How will it change your everyday life? Seriously, get a grip.
I'm sitting in my sunroom soaking in the daylight and monitoring the markets.

Reminds me when my college ROTC son came home complaining about having to carry a female's rucksack in a training event. She was holding back the platoon. There may be a place for her in the military, but it would not be in ground combat.
Exactly.
lol pp son is an idiot. Everyone carries their pack. I question if this guy was ever in combat.

Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Sounds like you clicked on the wrong thread, friend. Sorry that your back key is so hard to reach for you.
I most certainly clicked the right thread. Grievance culture is toxic to your health. People here have no control over the fate of Hegseth. Perseverating on his morals or qualifications gets nothing accomplished. This is performance art. Go for a walk.
NP. So you don't think citizens should call their senators saying they don't want a drunkard running the military, who is clearly lying? He couldn't even answer Mark Kelly - How can you have overcome hardship if everything is an anonymous smear campaign? You know these appointments affect Americans. Maybe if more people took the time to watch...

The junior senator trust funder pretending to live in Michigan clearly doesn’t know state history. Her attempt to go viral exposed her as a dunce. Deeply embarrassing.
I wouldn’t put a lot of faith into what Charlie LeaDuff says. Then again, he knows a thing or two about being a drunk in public. Maybe he can relate to Petey.
