Ghazala Hashmi has taken $$ from Comstock and voted in favor of legislation advancing the Tysons casino.

IMO that is predatory, like a payday loan center and a pawn shop right next to Section 8. It’s bad for everyone.
Gambling can cause real addictions and ruin lives and families. Just like any other drug. The one in Arubdel Mills frequently attracts parents who are so addicted to gambling they leave their kids in the car in the parking lot FOR HOURS. It’s awful. I cannot understand why anyone would want a casino anywhere.
Yes, it is predatory and as a PP wrote, no matter how nice you make it, it will attract bad elements sooner or later.

I don’t think he has made a statement on that. This casino will be the fatal blow for Fairfax County. Corporate offices will leave the Tyson’s area.
That doesn't make any sense. The casino would have little to no impact on traffic or crime.

See later thread that got closed. Efforts were never stopped, only certain bills. The casino is intended to make money to the state, Fairfax will get money off building it and be saddled with the crime and other issues associated with it.
