Why are pants disrespectful? What in the world…?
Disrespectful to the people who want to check out her legs?
What are you 12? You guys know what a state dinner is right? It’s a black tie affair not a semi formal, not business and not business casual. Her pantsuit would have to be a tux to not be disrespectful.

I think she looks great -- there is a wind blowing (which you can see from her hair) which is making the peplum flare out as she walks. I'm not a huge fan of peplums but I think this one is nicely done and she looks great and presidential. I also really like the necklace with the neckline of the jacket/shirt. I give this an A+ and feel like PP is just being hypercritical here. She's a middle aged woman that is not built like a fashion model and needs to look conservative and presidential. This is a very fine pick.
We’ll have to agree to disagree. Criticism of her clothing - especially a bizarre bell-shaped jacket - is not being “hypercritical.” The only video I could find that actually shows the ill-fitting jacket from the front as she’s walking is this one. No doubt other news sources were instructed not to show it.
I like Harris and generally think she's doing pretty well with her Presidential fashion choices. This one's pretty bad. She should stick to pant suits.

That’s not “bell shaped” it’s intentionally peplum
