Including FBI, CIA, NSA? And stop sharing intelligence info with our allies? It doesn’t make sense. The US and our allies are under constant threat of terrorist attacks. We already know Iran has infiltrated or even outright lead some of the Palestinian protests. The US would be a lot less safe if their plan went through.
It makes sense if you want to destroy the country.
We have like 2+ million federal employees. A cut of 50-100K is a blip on the radar.
You never want to cut anything. Just grow the behemoth until it takes over everything and we collapse like Soviet Russia.
I would like to cut the military. What say you?
I would also but fed.gov first. We always start with the military and then forget about all the useless federal agencies. BRAC occurs every five years.
HHS, HUD, and EPA would be right at the top of my list. DOL and DOJ not far behind.
And I hope Trump cans a bunch of political feds via the spoils system.

The problem being is that the entire federal system is about keeping those people in their jobs.
If Trump can cut that Gordian knot, then you'd have a cheaper and better federal bureaucracy.
My agency is sorely under staffed and many of us are doing 2 people’s jobs. I work extra unpaid hours every week just to get the work done because I had to absorb the duties of someone who left. You sound hateful and ignorant.
And you sound naive and lack reading comprehension. Every agency has some people who do real important work. Most also have deadweight employees and wasteful make-work programs that add zero real value for taxpayers.
So does every single corporation that I have ever worked at. Have you never worked with incompetent do nothings?
dp.. but do nothings in the government are paid for by taxpayers, whereas those in the corporate world aren't.
Do-nothings in the corporate world are paid by the shareholders. If they in anyway contract for government work, it's paid for by the taxpayers.
We could save a lot of money by cutting a lot of fed contactors as well.
There are lots of do nothing federal contracting executives in the DC metro getting rich off government taxpayer dollars.

If this was an option for you, you'd be doing that right now.
I know many people who work for the federal government b/c they believe in serving their country. I know that seems crazy to you.
There's too many of them. Too much bloat. Our tax system can"t afford them anymore.
Time for some of them to go into private industry. Fed.gov should not be a jobs program.
How much of the taxes paid goes to government officials' salary? $260 billion per year. The government budget is $6 Trillion, so the salaries represent about 4 percent of the federal budget.
Guess what. We're running out of runway.
The INTEREST on the national debt is $1 Trillion/year and it's only going up. That's 4X your government officials salaries. Got it?
This was all predicted decades ago. Now it's happening. Everyone can sense an epic sh1* storm is on the way.
