That said, please do not put curry powder or fruit or nuts in it! Celery and herbs and finely diced pickles is the way to go.

^ this is the other problem with chicken salad. There are a million ways to prepare it. That's why this dish is a loser. Make it for your own family the way you like it and don't serve to guests.

There's a million ways to prepare eggs.

I have never seen anyone, put chutney, celery, mayonnaise, or relish in eggs!

Plenty of people put all those things in deviled eggs or egg salad.

And it’s yummy.

Yes and those 2 things are as sick as chicken salad. Those are not eggs.

Chicken salad, deviled eggs, egg salad 🥗 ---> gag reaction

Such a sensitive Sally!

Actually it's a common response.

What are real egg dishes?

Benedict, Omlette, Scrambled, Fried, etc. When someone says "would you like some eggs", who responds "Yes, deviled please"?

There’s a good chance that those who are in the chicken salad camp wouldn’t like what you like. And that’s fine. As a host, you do your best to please your guests but you’re not operating a restaurant.

Kosher deli sandwiches, knishes, potato chips, water, seltzer and Dr Browns.

While I love a knish, I know a lot of people who don’t eat kosher deli sandwiches. My adult kids don’t do deli at all. It’s all very subjective. But I never complain about what I am served. I will eat around the main entree if I don’t like it. And if it’s just me and the host and I dont want to be rude I will suck it up.

That’s why they ask people how they like their eggs before making them. But i don’t see chicken salad made tableside or on demand.
