A lot of pressure on BP to sweep the conference.

Plus I think they have at least 1, maybe 2 09s that are playing up.

The Arlington coaches are inept.

They haven't had a consistent coach in three years...

Lost their starting keeper for the year and lost several games this year by one goal.

But from top of the table to the bottom in one year means there are deeper issues.

Who coached Arlington 2008G before CP?

Whoever it was, they were better.

Or maybe they wont $$&

They won't. The delusion runs as deep as the wallets in this area.

It is not delusion. That you think so means you are not involved. ECNL is a college recruiting leauge. Going to Nationals is part of that process so that you can be seen. Are more coaches at top end games rather than Showcase B -- maybe by a bit. But it matters not. Just that you are there. You have contact with coaches. They come see you. That is the point. Wins are great. Certainly don't hurt. But are not required. You may say the top colleges will take girls from the top teams. Sure. But the 8th girl on Solar may not be better than the best girls on VDA. Almost every ECNL girl on every team will play in college if they want to. Not all for UNC or Stanford but all will have a shot. So no people will not get tired when Showcase A and B teams have tons of coaches a game looking at specific players. There were over 1000 coaches at Playoffs.

This is someone who misses the point entirely.

Keep counting other people's money

A fool and his money are soon parted.

Maybe stop chugging the ECNL koolaid and check out SYC. If you’re never going to beat the big west coast ECNL teams change leagues and get noticed.

You are not making sense. The worst teams in Showcase B had hundreds of coaches looking at them. The exposure on those teams is greater than GA can provide.

The same coaches attend both ECNL and GA events.

The one thing that ECNL clubs generally have over GA is their DOCs have more connections into colleges because they’ve been doing it longer. Which is ridiculous that DOcs hold the keys to players playing in college. Unfortunately is what it is.

Nope -- attendance at GA events is about half of ECNL events. While it is true that some DOCs have those contacts, there are ECNL clubs in the DMV where not a single call was placed yet everyone is recruited.

I guess we look at things differently.

For me all I care about is the top 10% of whatever league. The rest of the clubs are just noise.

You know you just said all DMV is just noise, right?

The devolution of another conversation into ECNL vs GA. Looking for a brick wall to pound my head against. . .

NVAs showing has been dismal, to put it kindly. One goal in 3 games, and lost 5-0 today. That team is plenty talented so you gotta question the quality of the coaching.

NVA just had a coaching change which could contribute to it.

Oh name calling are we? Sorry that the 1, oh excuse me 2 girls from FCV seem to have taken your players starting position and playing time for the team Sure, they'll do well and be in the top 10 but not because of your daughter! Adding one or two to the team and saying they haven't been playing for long just sounds like an excuse!!! Take your win and enjoy it Buttercup!

You are 100% correct! My daughter will have zero contribution to that team's success because she is a 2010 at a different club. But thanks again for playing, dingbat!

Are we talking about VDA 09's? "they haven't been playing together for very long"? Incorrect! With the exception of the FCV girl, they have been playing together for quite some time.
And the FCV girl was the key to their success at Nationals and will be for next year's season!
