Subject: Meetings at 8am — how common
I've had an 8 am standup meeting every morning for the last 10 years. We're all remote and don't have to get on video and can also call in. The longest one is on Monday since it covers what you do for the upcoming week and may last maybe 45 mins and the rare hour if there's alot to discuss. The rest of the week is probably a max of 20 mins or so, unless there some issue. This is in IT.

If you are on the west coast, 8am is normal. Before that is not. People taking jobs with large companies on the west coast should expect business to begin early. 8am is nice.

The here is no reason, other than a shift change, to have daily meetings. Your boss doesn’t know how to manage.
