Meanwhile, I’m so honest that I go back inside to pay for things if I missed scanning them because they got tucked back in the cart.

He would likely say he's not getting any thrill but he is. It's the tiny, cumulative thrill of knowing he can get away with things, which confirms over and over that He Is Special. And he surely cheats, lies and steals in other aspects of life and work. Some stores just keep track via CCTV, and when the individual hits a certain threshold, they press charges.

Open your eyes. Cameras everywhere and security guards and hey check you out only? Plus workers are paid bonuses if low to nil shrinkage. It’s an awesome private company.
