A family member is coming to visit for Christmas and has a Canada Goose winter jacket. We said not to bring it to DC. It’s a hoodlum magnet.

This is an economic issue. Why send billions of dollars to the Ukraine & Israel but pay $17/ hour for minimum wage?

No one can build a family on that wage. Safe Communities are built upon families feeling economically secure.

This is a trickle effect of crime.


Because some folks would just rather rip off the Man than work for the Man.

DC, Detroit, Denver, NYC, LA, Chicago, San Francisco, Paris, Copenhagen, London, Madrid, Sao Paolo--- all have criminals

This. Nothing will change for a long time yet. The best way to hasten change is to vote with feet and taxes and move. DC govt does pay attention to migration/pop numbers and of course, to revenue. Protect yourself and your family, OP.

Not only does the federally appointed USAO decline to prosecute the majority of arrests in DC, including felonies and gun crimes, SO DOES THE ELECTED AG, Brian Schwab "kids are kids" handpicked successor to Karl "RJ is appropriate for homicides" Racine.

Is it ANY surprise that violent crime in DC has soared while dropping elsewhere?

Local university communities fear being de-platformed as not being sufficiently welcoming and inclusive, particularly in NW.
