They must be ugly. Tall and ugly doesn't count. I'm 5'9 and never had issues attracting men.

Some taller women have that sort of rectangular build or they remind you of a giraffe. No guy wants a date with Trans Herman Munster.

Some short women, if the proportions are otherwise good, when they have large breasts, they can look absolutely gigantic, but in a sexy attractive way. Taller women aren't often able to pull off the gigantic boob look in quite the same way.

Short women with gigantic natural boobs who aren't obese. Every man wants one of those.

This is interesting. According to a study in the UK that looked at which heights listed on dating apps got the most "swipe rights," the "most swiped" height for women was 5'5". The average height for women in the UK is 5'3", so this doesn't really back up OP's theory.

https://www.standard.co.uk/lifestyle/dating/most-attractive-height-for-man-woman-a3846246.html

One question this raises for me is how much height of a potential mate impact instinctual attraction (you see someone and think "yes I want this person") versus attraction ideals (the list people have in their heads of generally what they are looking for physically in a mate). Speaking as a woman, I like the idea of a tall guy, like over 6'. But when I was dating, I didn't like how I felt with men that tall. I didn't actually enjoy like having to crane my neck back to look at them when we were close together, and I didn't like feeling so much smaller than the person I was with. I wound up marrying a guy who is 5'10", and while obviously his height was not the primary driver, I don't think I'd actually want to be with someone longterm who was any taller.

What this means for men, I don't actually know. Maybe they like the idea of really short women but then, like me, they discover the reality of a big height difference is kind of annoying. Or maybe the opposite is true, maybe they go into dating thinking they want a model type -- tall, thin, long lines. But then they discover they prefer how they feel around shorter women more.

I think they've done studies on this and it's true men prefer shorter women, but relative to their own height. So basically men prefer women who are shorter than they are (women also prefer men who are taller than they are). This works to the benefit of shorter women who might have more men who will be interested because more men are taller than them.

But this is also different from discussing what men (or anyone) finds attractive generally. Mate selection does not track perfectly with general preferences for attractiveness. There are men who might pick the 5'2" woman because she makes him feel taller, but that same guy might also find plenty of tall models or actresses very attractive. He's never going to stand next to any of those women, though, so he evaluates them differently than he would a woman he actually meets in real life.

So I think it's incorrect to say men find shorter women more attractive. What would be more accurate is to say that men are less likely to want to date a woman who is their height or taller. He might be attracted to her, but he won't ask her out. It's about his ego and self-perception more than it's about simple attraction.

This is for some reason a really divisive topic on dcum and it comes up very often. Of course plenty of men are into short women. Plenty are into tall women. TBH I really don’t think most people pay a ton of attention to height unless the person is very tall or very short.

Don’t worry, plenty of guys will think you are hot if you are hot.

Also, short women tend to look younger. If you have the same face on a 5'8" woman compared to a 5'2" woman, the shorter woman is going to look a few years younger.

Until she hits 40 or after she has a couple kids, at which point it's going to be very hard to keep weight down and she will look matronly. Keeping weight off when you are 5'2" or below is HARD, plus if you are curvy, you wind up with this big bosom on a short frame. It is not "youthful."

But yes, a short 22 year old looks younger than a tall 22 year old. How young do you need your wife or girlfriend to look?

We all know how much men hate those big bosoms! Come on now. Telling other women that you think short women are ugly won't keep the men off them. Stop hating and can you please grab that box off the top shelf for me?

Short women aren't ugly but it's just a well known truth that if you are short it's harder to keep weight off, especially as you age. Many men like big boobs but not the grandma bosom you get at middle age if you can't keep your waist, were it just kind of blending into your midsection.

This can and does happen with taller women too, but it's tougher for shorter women, especially if they started out curvy to begin with.

It is unfortunate that I know this, but I have had a grandma bosom my entire life. I just always had “matronly” huge boobs. And I am short.

Men. Do. Not. Care. I think some of them like the idea of saggy boobs EVEN MORE.

The operative word here is “huge”. That’s what the guys are going for.
