Now streaming!

With commercials....a good 95% of the movies on this thread are unavailable on most streaming platforms.

Which ones aren't available? Amazon has a ton of old movies.

Most of the movies here are on streaming, but weird streaming like Vudu or Philo, things I've never heard of before. The ones that are on YouTube, Amazon or Apple TV are $4 to rent. Or they are on Paramount or Peacock or Starz or Showtime. A few, like Conversations with other women and Donny Darko, are on Amazon with ads. I'm not going to pay to rent, or add on another subscription, to watch a 20+ year old film. I have googled nearly every movie mentioned and I really can't find anything I already pay for. I'm tempted to close the thread - op

Seriously?

Maybe just pick one or two and splurge on the $4?

OP, your public library may have some of these available via Kanopy or Hoopla, which are streaming services. They have a wide variety of titles and a "long tail" collection. Public libraries also tend to have DVD collections so they could carry some of these in a DVD format.

A Room With A View - it's just sweeping and epic in it's presentation but more than that, the moral of to thine ownself, be true, is so well demonstrated. I love this movie so much - an oldie but a goodie for real!

Melancholia is one that stayed with me in a thought provoking way. The characters' varied reactions have stuck with me. It was like a good novel. I need to see it again!
I agree with others that clockwork orange stayed with me in a awful way that makes me wish I never watched it or that I had been older when watching it.

Love this movie. Most underrated film of the 21st century.

+2
Thanks for the reminder! I saw it in the theater years ago and it was just a perfect movie.

Boys don’t Cry. Well acted and gave a perspective that at the time, I had never seen before.

Be ready to cry for a weekend. I tear up just typing the name.

I started it when I was in college-- couldn't even finish it!
