it was hard as &uck. I was a former D1 runner and won some impressive races (long distance) but nothing compared to natural childbirth.

I think it really depends on the person. I did it three times including with a 10lb baby and it wasn’t that bad, my pregnancies were much worse. Maybe I was just so glad to be done that in comparison it wasn’t so bad. It was a sprint, not a marathon.

Whenever I see a wild animal when I’m on a walk, whether it’s a deer or a fox or a rabbit, they don’t run away. They stop and wag their tail or at minimum look me in the eye. They stay until I continue walking. I’ll be walking with someone else, and they’ll still do it but only look at me. It kind of freaks out the people I’m with, who generally say they’ve never seen such a thing. Clearly this isn’t impressive, but it’s an odd and intriguing thing when people experience it with me.

My grandfather was a Supreme Court Justice. He died before I was born and apparently was a really awful father to my mom, but it still sounds impressive, I guess.

My contribution to the thread is that I have a PhD and I’m published. That’s what happens when it takes too long to figure out what you want to be/do when you grow up.

I am an ordained minister. Got it from the back of Rolling Stone in the 80’s.
