Not pp but there have been book bans proposed in Central Bucks & Pennridge school districts (both in Bucks County). The school board was all MAGAs at one point. These are “good” schools.

Part of the weirdness of some of the responses is that it didn't make sense, as if written by someone who didn't know Philadelphia at all. Take Bucks County. It has gorgeous rolling countryside with the famous stone farmhouses, but the people who buy into that lifestyle aren't the people thinking they're too good for the Main Line. If anything, they're the Lily Pulitzer siblings/friends of the same with the big old stone houses on the Main Line or former residents who wanted a more pastoral environment. And mentioning Media makes no sense. The more expensive parts of Media and West Chester are all resolutely suburban McMansions. You're even more white bread and a lot further away from Philadelphia.
