I already told my DC that if they ever are going to get penalized for standing up to a bully they should ask to call me. No way will the school be allowed to punish my child for self-protection.

Why? This is real life. It’s what kids really face at school. I’m a teacher, btw. And parent.
Really? Supposed parents coming up with their own response bullying, including comments on suicide and sexually explicit “comebacks”? This is so gross.

I would go this route in a "why are checking out my body so much" kind of way. This would shut my DS12 up.

This is the best one so far. The other ones are obvious mom comebacks. This isn’t bullying, btw, like some other person said. It’s a sensitive being surrounded by feral kids that have no parenting. Your kid is kind and polite. Teach him to table that in certain situations to exploit other people’s weakness. If someone is trying to tear your kid down, teach him all bets are off. Anything is game…if the other kid stutters, gets bad grades, wears crappy shoes, etc.

So what? A little lunch detention, or conversation with the principal is a small price to pay.
And also, it probably won't get lunch detention. The only way it does is if a teacher hears the comment (which would presumably mean they heard the bullying which lead to the comment), OOOORRRRRR the bully tattles, which is an even better outcome

Anonymous wrote:"Oh you are a bully. Kids who bully others are often abused at home by their parents. I feel sorry for you."
"Maybe, I need to tell my mom about your bullying and she can talk to your mom? Will you get into trouble and stop being mean/nasty/homophobic/racist/InCel?'
