They already are. It’s a madhouse

so much so that they had to make CS at UMD an LEP for the past several years, and last year had to cut acceptance even more.

UMich CS was only restricted last year.

Alphabetically speaking Maryland also beats Michigan. They really come out ahead any way you slice it.

you're being silly now.

You just noticed?

Exactly. I was helping rabid Maryland fan grasp. PP didn’t call out the beach. 🏝️

There is no rabid Maryland fan. A good percentage of us live in Maryland so of course are going to support our state flagship in one of its most highly ranked majors.

It’s a good school, and I can understand why there are many boosters. But, the grasping is ridiculous. Time to reread the thread. Nobody is choosing Maryland for its non-existent beach (or mountains!) or because it restricted engineering.

DS from NOVA is currently at UMD as a CS major. He received a small scholarship so COA is ~$44k. Realize that UM is an awesome school, but OOS COA is ~$77k. That's a big difference.

UMD won . Eye opening. Now the state of Michigan has nothing but dark, cold misery and fewer modern era football championships than UMD.

😂😂😊😊

It couldn't ever compete since College Park has a beach. The small, but mighty, state that has EVERYTHING.

Is the beach in Prince George’s County? Is it beach weather in Maryland?

I know NASA, IRS,Census, future FBI, FDA, USDA, Homeland Security, the NFL, Andrews AFB, MGM and Secret Service is in PG county. NSA is not ..its right over the county line in Anne Arundel. The closest beach is 30 miles (Chesapeake Beach) ..Assateague and OC are 2 hrs ..pretty good.

The weather is pretty moderate and more winter daylight. Hasn’t snowed in the last two years.

CS majors don’t go graduate school

Yes, they do.

Not if they have any sense.

+1

Don’t need to go. Wasting your money.
