no, actually it is not. MPD rarely releases names of traffic offenders. because their offenses are considered “accidents” and not crimes until proven otherwise.
This has all the hallmarks of something that will get swept under the rug. Local media does not seem at all curious about what happened either.
I remember that.
Local media stands down when they get told to stand down. Same thing happened with the former Congress employee who was killed outside a bar in SW DC in an altercation - that case was closed very quickly by MPD. Very strange that no surveillance video was released.
