I wonder if those are going to be TW, SD or SP days. TW days would allow time to pack and finish EOY tasks at least. Nobody is going to be taking in PD.

It’s kind of frustrating as teachers to be done Wednesday but have to be there through the end of week.

I have not been a fan of Meren, but appreciated that she said the no’s could only vote no now without having to face the wrath of having no calendar approved because there was enough yeses to provide cover.

I didn’t understand why it was amended blue or nothing til March.

Because this calendar did not have as many 5-day school weeks.

This school year we have 23 5-day school weeks.
The OG blue calendar had 27 5-day school weeks proposed.
This calendar they are voting for has 25 5-day school weeks proposed.

Also, he added that coupling with religious holidays would gain 2 more 5-day weeks…not 3-6. (Most of the added religious holidays that are severely chopping up this school year into bits and pieces are falling on the weekend next year, as is Veteran’s Day.) Only Yom Kippur and Eid fall on weekdays in 23-24, respectively.

This is probably Dr. Reid’s first late night SB meeting. This is the first meeting I have watched in awhile, too. I don’t miss it.
