I’m a Harvard grad too. Had a wonderful four years and it changed my life. All this thread shows is that those who can’t get in have to dump on it

Most people know that at places like Harvard and Stanford, the professors are focused on their research and work with their grad students. The schools themselves only value undergrads to a certain degree.

Are the glory days for Harvard behind them? Serious question. I cannot find reasons why Harvard is any better than other schools in the top 50 USNWR rankings. Recent matriculants I have known personally are not that impressive and seem to be a blend of legacy, VIP and athlete. What am I missing? Perhaps it is a dying brand - what am I missing? Does the emperor have any clothes here?

She's a knucklehead who managed to turn a sex tape into a billion or so dollars. She's far more successful than 99.9% of HBS grads.

Harvard is a club, not a product. You couldn't care about the quality of the product. You pay for the access.
Very fitting with the latest coming out of Harvard. They are paying for the Kim Kardashian label, not a quality of the product. Pay for access.

That's the old Harvard.
In the new Harvard it signals you're wealthy or connected or the token minority.
Ah, the embittered tears of the rejected. Sweet, sweet nectar.
Nice coping mechanism
DP and Double Harvard grad here. No, it’s true. Legacies or minorities.everyone knows this
Yup
+1
Oh good grief. Legacy? 15% of the class. URMs? 27%. Can you add those together and tell the class what you get?
False. The Harvard suit showed us that 43% of Harvard’s class is legacies, athletes or related to big donors
First, the Harvard data showed 43% of WHITE admits were ALDC. Get your facts straight.
Second, that misstated fact is complete irrelevant to the idiotic claim that only legacies and minorities are at Harvard.
I do have my facts straight. Google what I posted
