3 boys. All three circumsized at birth. Their father was born in another county and was not cut. He grew up in the US and wished he had been cired. He wanted boys cired and I preferred it as well. No issues or regrets. Never think about it.

Oh no, not another crappy male pediatrician.

First one is circ'd, second one is not. The push to get the first one circ'd was really hard in the hospital and I didn't know any better. The 2nd one is not and again, they came to our room to ask several times. We were even worried they may mix him up with another child and do it.
I wish we had not done to the first one, but he hasn't complained. It's all red and very tight.

I find women who have strong opinions about this to be inappropriate and strange.

One son of a father who is a pediatrician. Dad insisted on circumcising because he saw far more issues with uncircumcised boys than those circumcised.

I am a male that actually has problems due to my circumcision. I don’t really have a regular doctor and have not discussed it with anyone but my wife so people like me would not necessarily be in any common statistic. We did not circumcise our son and he has had no problems at all.

America is the only country were circumcision is common if you aren’t Muslim or Jewish

You need to toss Canada, Australia, and New Zealand into that category. All have above average non-religious circumcision rates. America isn't so special after all.

I have two sons and they are circumcised and I sort of regret it. We were very on the fence about it. The only thing that tipped it over was the cultural practice. If I could go back again, I wouldn't have it done.

I had uncircumcised boyfriends when I was younger and it was no big deal. But, the boys don't know any different and they don't care. They're teens now.

I didn't, because that was the only choice that would be reversible. If my son wants to be circ'd later in life he can, but you can't go in the other direction. He's just 5 months old currently, so any potential for that is a long way off.

I did not circumcise. I sort of regret not doing it. I am American but have many international friends living in DC and they typically do not.
My older one actually had it done at 15.
He is happier with it done. My younger one does not seem to care but he is not around girls and dating.

I guess I worry about the skin and him being able to keep it clean. He also says it’s very sensitive in general.

I don’t personally believe that not doing it causes a greater risk of STD
I also don’t think that by doing it you take away some of the sensitivity. Clearly men who are circumcised are still plenty happy!

Initially I did not want to traumatize by new baby but getting cut but they don’t remember. It’s that Mom guilt.

Ultimately I grew up in the US and have not had much experience with non-circumcised men so I favor circumcised.

If I was to go back I would have done it.

And you're positive it was from .... the circumcision? Not just because he was a newborn and newborns cry a lot? Seems like a stretch to me.

My son had it done, DHs choice so I insisted he a company for the procedure. He came back ashen and the baby refused to nurse for 2 days, broke his little spirit. DH said in event of another son he would not circ.
