Will vogue run their ads?

Its as okay to wear this brand as keeping Epstein and Harvey Wisetien as friends because they apologized.

Pretty sure who 'the reality star' is, the one who waited six days as the scandal built before saying anything.

I wonder how much more $$$ she asked for before speaking up.

I personally think the brand should die and a strong message should be sent, but I’m curious how others can feel so differently…

Tabloid press is calling the Balenciaga sensibility pedo-chic.

I will never wear anything associated with the brand, and actually I am also done with the celebrities that aren’t saying anything here or giving weak condemnation like Kim Kardashian. There is just so much evidence here. It is impossible to ignore.

Which ended in 1975, almost 40 years ago. I doubt you can afford the brand or any others you think are "wrong". But be sure to come back and tell us about how wealthy you are.

Oh stop being so pathetically and transparently stressed about the resale value of your child porn clothes. Ridiculous.

I don't see how this isn't what everybody thinks. How are people so attached to one particular business? It's not like it's your mom's catering company. Balenciaga doesn't care about you, why should you care about them? And if you really, really like the aesthetic, it's not like you can't get find it elsewhere.

Anonymous wrote:Oh please. I wore my Balenciaga boots the other day and no one batted an eye. I got way more comments a few years ago when I had a Gucci tote during some controversary about them being racist. People care for 10 minutes and then it goes away. The house will definitely not be ruined over this.

Smarten up. Few will to say anything to you directly. It has been noted though.

You've got a short grace period in which to trash your Balenciaga. Going forward, people will interpret this brand as a dogwhistle and signal. Those disgusted will gracefully avoid you. Whether you find it logical or not, pedos will take notice of a woman wearing Balenciaga and get ideas about your inclinations toward children and sexuality. Don't underestimate this.

What did they do to the children? I'm confused...

They shared images of children with sexual imagery. Sexual assault of a person can be a picture and these kids are not able to consent.

How about you all do some reading:

Can you link to source that doesn't out patriotic whistleblowers? NYT is never getting another dime of my money. Their apology is as pathetic as Balenziaga's.

Can someone summarize these behind a paywall articles?

In this world where we have so many options I see no reason to associate myself with a brand that’s been very publicly linked to child sex abuse.

I once spent money on a nice bag. Not from a designer, or even recognizable brand, but a cut or two above what I’d normally spend. The idea was to purchase one nice thing and wear it most of the time. Better for the environment, etc.. I am going to be a lot more cautious going forward. I can’t afford to spend a ton of money on something and then not be able to wear it.

But you realize there are plenty of companies that make high-quality things but don't have a big name, right?

When I was trying on gowns once, I went to high end boutiques and the dresses weren't any better made that your middle of the road stuff. You are absolutely NOT paying for quality with most of these brands. You can get handmade stuff if you look harder.

Yes, it was a no name bag. I think we have the same shopping philosophy.

But, how would a no-name bag be victim to this scenario? You aren’t changing your behavior, just patting yourself on the back. DP.
